Repenshek, Mary AnnMary Ann Repenshek, age 80, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2017 at The Family Tree Harrison Home in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.Mary Ann was born on May 26, 1936 in St. Nazianz, Wisconsin, a daughter of Anton Riesterer and Mary Fessler Riesterer. She attended St. Gregory Catholic School, St. Nazianz. She joined the School Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee. After teaching in Chicago and several parishes in Wisconsin, she left the religious order in 1963. She married Wayne Repenshek on July 18, 1970 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Sheboygan. Mary Ann was employed by the Sheboygan Public Schools, teaching at Mapledale and Cooper Schools where she influenced the minds and hearts of hundreds of children over her distinguished teaching career. After retiring in 1996, she felt her heart pulling her back to the classroom to volunteer at Cooper School helping children feel success throughout their learning. Additionally, she served in the RCIA Program at Holy Name Parish, VNA Hospice and Community Home Care. Most importantly though, Mary Ann was an incredible Mother and Grandmother.Mary Ann was the loving mother of her two sons, Mark (Cory) and John (Dana) and dearest grandmother to Camory, Leah and Jakob. She is survived by her two brothers, Alois of rural Newton and Anthony of rural Manitowoc.She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Mary Riesterer (Fessler); her husband, Wayne Repenshek; three brothers, Matthew, Wilfred and Francis, and three sisters, Magdeline, Catherine and Rose Mary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 3, 2017 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2136 N. 21st St., Sheboygan, with visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Jerome Repenshek will be the celebrant and the Rev. Robert Fictum will concelebrate. Burial will follow at Greendale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mary Ann's name.The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Horizon Hospice. But especially the angels who cared for Mary Ann at The Harrison Home in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Our Mother was truly loved by each and every one of her caregivers.
