We gather here today to celebrate the vibrant and unforgettable life of Mary Reeder, a cherished member of our community in Cotter, Arkansas. Born on July 5, 1934, she brought joy and laughter wherever she went, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. It is with both sadness and gratitude that we bid her farewell on September 19, 2023.
Mary was a force of nature, always full of life and quick with a joke. Her wit and infectious laughter could light up any room, making even the dreariest of days brighter. She had an uncanny ability to bring people together, effortlessly creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere wherever she went.
A lover of adventure, Mary never passed up an opportunity to explore the world around her. Whether it was embarking on spontaneous road trips or immersing herself in new cultures, she had an insatiable curiosity that inspired those around her. Her stories of traversing the globe were riveting and often accompanied by a mischievous twinkle in her eye.
Not only was Mary a free spirit, but she also had an immense love for her community. Her heart was as big as the Arkansas sky, and she endlessly devoted her time to making Cotter a better place. You could always count on her to be at the center of local events, volunteering with boundless enthusiasm and rally her neighbors together for various causes.
Of course, Mary was not just a devoted member of the community but also a loving friend and family member. She passionately and unconditionally supported her loved ones, providing both a shoulder to lean on and a listening ear for all who sought her guidance. Her wisdom and comforting nature were truly unparalleled.
Mary leaves behind 3 children, 2 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
As we say our goodbyes to this incredible woman, let us remember Mary for the joy she brought to our lives. She would want us all to celebrate her life with laughter, gratitude, and perhaps even a touch of mischief. May her spirit continue to inspire us to embrace every adventure, cherish our loved ones, and, most importantly, find joy in the simplest of moments.
Rest in peace, dear Mary. Your spirit will forever dance in our hearts.
