Mary Flowers, 72, of Sparta, Tennessee, passed on October 09, 2022. Mary was born on January 01, 1950. She was born to the late Dennis and Florence Putnam.

Mary's greatest joy was her family to whom she was always devoted. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love of gardening was seen in her beautiful flower beds. She never met a stranger, was filled with compassion to help others, and loved to attend church.

Mary graduated high school in 1968 from Sparta High School. She attended college at Motlow Community College with a degree in Nursing. 

She was preceeded in death by her beloved husband Rubert Flowers, a son Jerry Hilton, a daughter Gladys Flowers. 

Left to cherish her memory are daughter Joyce Cooper; grandson Jared Hilton; grandson Matthew Hilton, grandaugther Shasta Hilton, grandson Mark Cooper; grandaughter Kelly Jones; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at First Christian Church. Family will greet friends and family at First Christian Church from 1:00-1:45 PM.  

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Meal on Wheels of Sparta, Tennessee.
