It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Williams on August 13, 2024, in Charleston, South Carolina. Mary was born on July 11, 1939, to Eugene Cooper and Mary-Ann-Williams-Cooper.

Mary was a loving wife to Kenneth R Williams for 64 years and a devoted mother to their seven children: Kenneth Williams, Lateth Williams, William C Williams, Eugene W Williams, Sandra Morris, Russell M Williams, and Alfred A Williams. She was also a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren.

After graduating from Mark Twain High School in 1959, Mary pursued a career in medicine and worked as a doctor until her retirement in 1964. She also dedicated her time to helping others through her work in the food corps and as a marine peacekeeper.

Mary was known for her caring nature and was awarded the title of the most caring doctor in her community. She served in the Marine as a Specialist in the Division unit for 40 years, leaving a lasting impact on all those she encountered.

In her free time, Mary enjoyed reading, cooking, and gardening. Her warm smile and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

May she rest in peace.
