Kastorff, Mary C.Mary Catherine Kastorff, age 96, passed away on February 18, 2017. She was a resident of St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac.Mary was born on May 7, 1920, in Sheboygan, WI, a daughter of the late Oscar and Johanna Sadlier Loersch. On November 7, 1942, she married Roland Ernie Kastorff at Holy Name Parish, Sheboygan.Mary was a graduate of Sheboygan High School and the St. Agnes School of Nursing. She worked at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac and St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan. For many years, Mary served as a volunteer for the Fond du Lac Blood Bank. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Church's Altar and Holy Name Societies, and the St. Agnes Alumni Association. Mary loved knitting, playing bridge, eating chocolate, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent her life caring for others, helping with the needs of family, friends, and residents of St. Clare's well into her 90s.Survivors include a son, James (Kathy) Kastorff; two daughters, Susan Detert and Mary Ann Kastorff; five grandchildren, Thomas (Annie) and Joseph Kastorff, Mary (Jeffrey) Bush, James (Natalie) Detert, and Anne (Christopher) Hatfield; and six great-grandchildren, Cameron and Mason Bush, Laurel and Elinor Detert, and Lucas and Madeline Hatfield. She will also be dearly missed by the Halley Crouch family, extended family, and friends.Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Roland; two brothers, Milan Loersch and James Loersch; and two sisters, Delores Schinabeck and Betty Lieding.A private family visitation and service was held at The Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
