It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Griffin, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Mary was born on January 13, 1965, in Newark, New Jersey, to her parents Edward and Mable Griffin.

Mary was married to her loving husband, James Lucas, for 20 years and together they raised 4 children: Dremond Griffin, Lakeisha Yancey, Fatisha Griffin, and Sabrina Caple. Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother, always putting her family first.

She attended Shabazz High School, where she excelled in her studies and made many lifelong friends. Mary had a passion for music and singing, and she often shared her talent with her family and friends.

Mary's legacy lives on through her 4 children and 6 grandchildren, whom she adored and cherished. Her memory will be forever treasured by all who knew and loved her.
