On August 1, 2024, Mary Butler of Brooklyn, New York, passed away at the age of 94. She was born on June 26, 1930, to David and Josephine Butler.

In 1960, she married the love of her life, Bobby Long, and together they had one daughter, Violetta Long, who married Craige LeGrand. Mary was a devoted grandmother to three grandchildren.

Mary was known for her kind heart and generous spirit. She dedicated much of her time to volunteering at the church, where she helped orphans, supported the homeless and disabled, and organized food drives. She was truly a pillar of her community.

In her free time, Mary enjoyed playing chess and attending church services. She found joy in helping others and was cherished by all who knew her.

On August 1, 2024, Mary passed away peacefully from Kidney Failure. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
