Mary Elizabeth Klunder, of Rochester, died at age 61 at Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys Campus on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016. Mary was born on Nov. 10, 1954, in Kenosha, Wis., to Paul Edward and Mary Jean (Mastronardi) Mauldin. On May 5, 1978, she married the love of her life, Roger A. Klunder, in Waukegan, Ill. She was employed by Mayo Clinic and worked at Charter House. Mary was a kind, giving person, and was loved and looked up to by many. Mary was the eldest of eight children. She was happiest when spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. Mary's hobbies included genealogy, gardening, reading and many crafts. Mary is survived by her daughter, Katrina Klunder (Craig Schleusner); her sons, Kenneth (Jan), and Jeffrey (Shirl) Klunder; her grandchildren, Brienna Skye, Hannah, Paige, Shalma, Taylor, Josh and Tyler; her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Arya, Zoey and MacKenzie; her sisters, Paulette (Mike) Smith, Kathy (Jerry) Emerick, Frances (Robert) Motsenbocker, and Andrea Oliver; her brothers, Joseph Mauldin, Earnest Oliver, and Philip (Jennifer) Woodley; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Roger; her son, Steven Klunder; her parents, Paul Mauldin and Mary Mastronardi; her grandparents, Artis Mauldin, Nannie Lee Ballard, Andrew Mastronardi and Rose (Vona) Mastronardi; and her nephew, Kevin Wheeler. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m Saturday, Oct. 29, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home.
