YORK Mary E. Oerman, 93, died Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at the Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive. She was surrounded by her beloved family when she passed and will be dearly missed. Mary was born on December 15, 1921, in York, the daughter of the late Ralph and Lottie (Spangler) Spangler, and was the wife of the late Roland E. Oerman. She was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, having served in the Women's Army Corps, and was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. The graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2015, at Mount Rose Cemetery with the Rev. Larry McConnell officiating. Military honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mary is survived by a daughter, Donna Krone of York; a daughter-in-law, Paulette Oerman Riggs of York; three granddaughters and their husbands; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Karlyn Houseman of York. She was preceded in death by a son, Ralph Oerman, and a sister, Sara Gingrich. The family would like to thank the staff at Kelly Manor for the wonderful care given to Mary during her time there.
