Mary was born on October 22,1932 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late clem and mary Woodson. She departed this earthly home to go to her heavenly home on Friday,  December 28,2018. Mary was the middle child of 14 children raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. 

IN 1958 mary along with three children relocated to brooklyn , New York to create a better life for them.she was a  stay at home mom until 1965 when she married her  husband Huey jones.

In 1977 mary purchased a home in Florence  South Carolina and started several businesses which included  a resturant called jemma, a beauty supply store, a  game room, and a car wash.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Huey jones, a son, Alvin jones, a daughter, Linda jones,and nine siblings, carla Lee, buddy, zettie may, mary lee, Lucia Peterson, sonny boy, doreen, suzan and annie.

Mary leaves to share precious memories her children, Diana Daniel's, Christophet Jones, Samuel jones, Gwindalyn Brown, sheila Payton, Deatric jones, Anthony Jones and Terrance Jones, fourteen granddaughters, shanice boyd, Monica Jones, shayanna sterling, April Peterson, samantha Peterson, vera young, mary Hassell, Julia Davis, julieta jones, Morgan Peterson, jasmine Jones, Teresa gins, yelena Jones, tenaya Jones and temaya jones.  Twelve grandsons, Joseph young, lamarr Jones  kashim Daniel's, Hassan Jones, Alvin Jones, michael Peterson, samuel jones jr, Anthony jones, sameek Jones, derek Peterson, Rowan Jones and  Khalid Daniel's,  twenty great granddaughters, fourteen great grandsons, five great great granddaughters, four great great grandsons, a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends..
