This obituary is administered by:
Mary Catherine (Glembocki) Euting1942 - 2014Mary Catherine (Glembocki) Euting, 71, of Perrysburg, Ohio, peacefully passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at home. She was born on Nov. 23, 1942, to Henry and Irene (Zeihen) Glembocki in Kenosha, Wis. She was a much-loved teacher in the Perrysburg School System for over 20 years. Mary was an avid reader, excellent scrabble player, and loving grandmother, mother and wife. Mary was privileged to have such wonderful friends around her, particularly the special teachers/friends she spent so much time with over the years as well as neighbors in the Hamlet and members of the Country Garden Club and the Perrysburg Literary Society. Mary also loved taking care of her plants, snacking on potato chips and especially drinking her Coca-Cola. Dear friend Annette Sipp shared that Mary was a dear colleague who I could always count on to be there for me over the ten years we worked closely together. I delighted in her subtle sense of humor and enjoyed hearing her laugh. While she would admit to not being naturally athletic, Mary engaged in playing golf and tennis at Belmont Country Club and paddle tennis with the girls at Carranor Hunt and Polo Club. She also enjoyed the fellowship of the Perrysburg Rotary Club where her husband was an active member and was a frequent guest at the clubs weekly meetings and events. Finally, Mary loved to travel with her husband and, at times, with her wonderful friends. She traveled to 27 different countries over six continents and carefully catalogued her journeys through lovely scrapbooks her family will treasure. Marge Gallagher is a dear friend and travel companion. Traveling to Egypt in the summer of 1990, they sailed down the Nile, took a train to Alexandria, and Mary rode a camel from the pyramids to the Sphinx. Marge shared, Mary always remembered I talked her into taking the top bunk on the train to Alexandria and how close the ceiling was. It was a wonderful trip. This is one of my favorite memories of Mary. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Jim Euting. Mary is also survived by her son, Jeff Euting; daughter, Denise McGee-Grimme; daughter, Caryn Medved; daughter-in-law, Jenny Euting, and sons-in-law, Joe Medved and Brian Grimme. She also spent wonderful times with her four grandchildren, Jason and Katie Euting, Joshua McGee, and Evan Grimme, as well as two granddogs, Bailey and Winnie, and two grandcats, Castor and Pollux. Mary is also survived by her siblings, Dorothy Brownlee, Claire Loizzo, Mike Glembocki and spouse Bobbi, and Helen Glembocki and sister-in-law Jeanne Glembocki. Mary was preceded in death by both parents, and her brother, Jack Glembocki. Family and friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home at 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, Ohio, (419-874-3133) where a scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose Church, 215 East Front Street in Perrysburg.
