Hunsinger, Mary FaithA mother holds her child's hand for a little while and their hearts forever… Mary Faith Hunsinger, 83, of Nichols and formerly of Athens, Pa died October 9, 2017. Mary was born on June 11, 1934 a daughter of the late Edward Carrol and Monica Dolores (Dwyer) Cheevers. On April 2, 1955 she married Dean M. Hunsinger and together they celebrated 39 years of marriage until his passing on April 9, 1994. For many years, Mary and Dean owned and operated Hunsinger's Strawberry and Vegetable Farm. Mary treasured her family and enjoyed visiting with friends and family. She will be greatly missed by her daughters and sons-in-law: Alice and Brett Rogers; Cheryl (Ernie) Hamilton; son: Ed Hunsinger; daughter-in-law: Karen Hunsinger; her sister: Cathy Ondreyko; sisters-in-law: Geri Cheevers and Barbara Hunsinger; thirteen special grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Mary was predeceased by her husband Dean; son Kevin; daughter Margaret Mary; brother and sister-in-law: Jack (Nadeen) Cheevers; brothers-in-law: Tom Ondreyko ; Richard Hunsinger; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Duane (Jane) Hunsinger.Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Saturday, October 14th from 10 to 12 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, Nichols. A funeral service and celebration of her life will follow with Deacon Michael Donovan and Pastor Jon Austin. Internment will follow in the Nichols Cemetery.
