Mary Catherine Farias1964-2016Mary Catherine (Cathe) Farias passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2016. She was born on March 9, 1964 in Harbor City, California. She is survived by her mother, Mary Roman (Rick); father, Edward Farias (Linda); long-time companion, Andrew Lee; sister, Deborah Spikes; brothers, Edward Jr., and Daniel Farias (Rose); stepbrothers, Jeff Davis, Jay Davis (Marie); Stepsisters, Laura Davis and Carrie Bessey; many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her nephew, Robert Ryan Spikes. Cathe worked in personnel administration and was an agent during her 29 years with Continental/United Airlines. She loved life, loved to travel, and was a wonderful dancer and an accomplished singer. She made friends easily because of her vivacious personality, whether traveling or working. Her outgoing personality earned her acceptance as a volunteer for the 2017 Super Bowl in Houston. She will be missed by all of her friends and especially by her loving family. Visitation will be on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Pat H. Foley & Co. Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman St in Houston, Texas, with a Remembrance Reception to follow in the Parish Hall. The family will hold a private Commitment Service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, you may donate blood at your local blood center on Cathe's behalf.
