Mary C. FarleyBeacon - Mary Coughlin Farley, a lifelong Beacon resident, passed away on June 4, 2017 at Wingate at Beacon. She was 106 years old.Mary was born on May 18, 1911, one of ten children born to Margaret McNamara Coughlin and Michael Coughlin, both immigrants from Ireland. She and her siblings were born and raised in Beacon: Helen Coughlin married to Joe (Joseph) Clark, Dyke (James) Coughlin married to Bessie Feeney, Joe (Joseph) Coughlin, Lon (Leonard) Coughlin married to Grace LeMunyan, Abe (Charles) Coughlin married to Mac (Katherine) MacMaster, George Coughlin married to Betty (Elizabeth) Lahey, Jack (John) Coughlin married to Harriet Hyatt, Bobby (Robert) Coughlin married to Ann Fleming, Peggy (Margaret) Coughlin married to Mike McElduff. She grew up close to her siblings and later in life married Jack Farley, the love of her life. They got married on top of Mount Beacon and later had two children, Peter Farley and Susan Farley DiLeo.Mary is survived by her son-in-law, Tony DiLeo; her daughter-in-law, Loretta Buttimer; her many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was predeceased by her children, Peter and Susan and all of her siblings.
