Maxine GetzLANCASTER: Mary "Maxine" Getz, 82, passed away on Saturday June 17th, 2017 at the Pickering House. Maxine was born on November 28th, 1934 in Hollister, Ohio to the late Harlan and Mary (Yocum) Williams. Maxine was a member of several bowling leagues and loved being a part of the Gab Eat and Gossip Club. She enjoyed traveling, fishing with her husband Jim and loved baking for others. She enjoyed decorating her home and was known as an avid seamstress. She loved watching her grandkids in all of their activities and spending time with family. She retired from the Kroger store on Memorial Drive in Lancaster.Maxine is survived by her son, Gary (Kathy) Maccombs; daughters, Vickie Maccombs, Jan (Tony) Osborne; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her husband, James Getz.A Celebration of Life is to be held on Saturday, June 24th, 2017 at 11AM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME in Lancaster, OH. Friends may visit ONE HOUR prior to the service on Saturday.
