Mary KurtzMary H. Kurtz, nee Hess, 77, of Collinsville, Ill., born on Feb. 22, 1939, in Hecker, Ill., died on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side.Mrs. Kurtz was known as the "Linen Lady" and proudly owned Vintage Linens in Belleville, Ill. She was an avid reader, writer, and Elvis Presley fan. Mary enjoyed going to flea markets and auctions, but her most precious moments were those spent with her family. She loved life, her family, and her friends and will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas F. and Elizabeth A., nee Schilling, Hess; and three sisters, Sister M. Charlotte, and Betty and Martha, in infancy. Surviving to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 35 years, Herman Kurtz; a son, Mike Quigley; two daughters, Debbie (Jim) Keller and Kim (Jerry) Nunn; three grandchildren, Dawn Patterson, Shawn Quigley and Mackenzie Quigley; three great-grandchildren, Damian Donius, Blaine Donius, and Liam Patterson; three sisters, Alice (Ray) Benner, Cathy Mechler and Mary (Don) Rice; a brother-in-law, Dennis (Nancy) Kurtz; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
