MARY HIGHLAND

LIMA — Mary A. Highland, 72, of Lima, passed away at 9:06 PM on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on February 22, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA to Daniel J. and Mary (Abner) McDaid, who both preceded her in death. On April 27, 1963, she married William L. "Bill" Highland, who preceded her in death on January 11, 2005.

Mary was a member of the Eagles Aerie 370, Lima, where she loved to dance. She loved animals and vacationing with her family but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her two sons William J. (Robert Craft) Highland of New Bremen and Brian (Sara) Highland of Middletown; her daughter Cheryl (Scott) Sanderson of Lima; her grandchildren Cole Sanderson, Cody (Kaitlyn) Sanderson, Abigail Highland, Matthew Highland, Kyle (Kristi) Craft and Mitchell Craft; her great-grandchildren Joey and Caleb Craft; her brother Daniel McDaid of Philadelphia, PA.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles, Joseph, John and Thomas McDaid; her sister Jeanette Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, SHAWNEE CHAPEL.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at 12:00 Noon, with Rev. Wanda Werking officiating. Interment will immediately follow the services in Allentown Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Allen County Humane Society.
