Mary I. Anderson90, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 14, 2017. She was born on June 22, 1926, to the late William and Ina Hiner Bruhn. Mary married Charles Anderson in Indianapolis, IN on May 5, 1946. She worked for JC Penny's for over 25 years. Mary was a lifetime member of Olive Branch Christian Church.Mary is survived by her daughters Mary (Mike) Murray, Susan (Bob) Schaub; grandchildren Jillanne (Gary) Heywood, Amanda "Mandy" (Rob) Snyder; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in passing by her parents; husband Charles; son Charles "Chops" Anderson Jr.; and brother William Bruhn.Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday March 18, 2017 at Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center. Visitation will be Friday, March 17, from 4:00-7:00 p.m.at the mortuary. The family has suggested that memorial contributions be given to the Southside Animal Shelter.
