Sheedy, Mary JeanMary Jean Sheedy, 86, of Green Bay, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital from a heart attack caused by multiple blot clots. Mary Jean was born on Dec. 24, 1930 in Suamico to Vincent and Elvira (Marks) Pelegrin. She graduated from West High, Green Bay in 1949 and worked as a secretary at Larsen Canning in Green Bay for five years. She married Robert (Bob) Sheedy on Oct. 18, 1952 at St. Benedict's Catholic Church, in Suamico. They were married for 59 years and had six children: Donna, Diane, Dawn, Denise, David, and Dixie.Mary Jean was a loving mother who took great pride in her family and their accomplishments. She liked nothing better than to create amazing home-cooked meals for friends and family. She had a deep love of nature and gardening. Mary Jean loved walks, bird watching, riding bike, and cross-country skiing. She was an avid reader, enjoyed puzzles, board games, and competitive card games with her family. Mary Jean could be heard cheering for the Packers from miles away. Mary Jean was an active member of Ss. Edward & Isidore Church in Flintville for 65 years. She was an active member of the Altar Rosary Society, St. Felicitas Court No. 1122 of the National Catholic Society of Foresters, and the Ladies VFW Auxiliary Post No. 9409. Mary Jean is survived by her children, Donna Sheedy of Green Bay; Dawn Porter of Sacramento, CA; Denise (Kent Tempus) Sheedy-Tempus of Ashwaubenon, David Sheedy of Janesville, and Dixie Sheedy of Green Bay. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Dan (Hanna) Willmer, Chelsea Sheedy, Connor Sheedy, Allie Tempus, Anna Mae Tempus as well as her great grandchildren: Samuel and Eli Willmer. Mary Jean is also survived by three sisters: Rose Ann Wygralak, Kathleen Peters, and Florence (Don) Banaczyk; a step-sister, Marion Calewarts; step-brother, Orville Kuske; and step-brother-in-law, Mel Leiterman. She is further survived by five sisters-in-law: Hazel Pelegrin, Sharon Pelegrin, Janet Pelegrin, Evelyn Sheedy, and Betty Sheedy; as well as life-long best friend, Anita Verheyden. Mary Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; daughter, Diane; parents, Vince and Elvira Pelegrin; step-mother, Minnie (Kuske) Pelegrin; Bob's parents, Ambrose and Flora (Burdeau) Sheedy; brothers and sister, Giles Pelegrin, Jim Pelegrin, Joe Pelegrin, and Marcia Bredell; step-sisters, Virginia Kuske and Joyce Leiterman; brothers-in-law, Joe Wygralak, Richard (Red) Peters, and Darol Bredell; Bob's sisters and brothers, Evelyn Sheedy, Mildred Weycker, Margaret (Milton) Weyenberg, Dorothy (Harold "Buzzy") Bussiere; Irvin (Martha) Sheedy; Harold Sheedy, Lawrence Sheedy, Neil (Bev) Sheedy, and Willard (Willie) Sheedy.Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, at Ss. Edward & Isidore Church in Flintville, 3667 Flintville Rd, Green Bay, followed by a wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 27, at the church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Rev.
