She was preceded in death by her brother John Skarra and her parents Perry and Rozelle Skarra. She graduated from UC Davis and was a librarian at Los Broncos Elementary School in Lompoc, California and Mesa Public Library in both the Los Alamos and White Rock branches. She laughed more often than she cried. She sang at inappropriate times. She challenged friends and acquaintances to be better and to live more. Mary was unique. She was loyal, inspiring, and entertaining. Her friends and family loved her.The celebration of life party will be held at her house at 1 pm on Sunday, September 20th. All are welcome. Her friends at the library have suggested that a bench be placed at the new White Rock branch of Mesa Public Library. Donations for the bench would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers.
