Vandermuss, Mary L.Mary L. Vandermuss, 67, Green Bay, formerly of Oshkosh, died Sunday, July 2, 2017. She was born on August 14, 1949, in Green Bay to Floyd and Anna (Loch) Wouters, Sr.Mary graduated from St. Joseph Academy, Class of 1967. She attended college in Green Bay where she met Michael Vandermuss who was her Chemistry lab partner, and on July 31, 1971 they were married. Mary continued her education at UW-Oshkosh where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Mary was a Child Support Specialist for Winnebago County for about 15 years, until her retirement. While her children were young she stayed at home and raised them before returning to work.Mary was an avid knitter and cross-stitcher, who also enjoyed quilting, cooking, reading, traveling to see her children, and loved whipped cream and going to the gym. She admired her husband's garden. Mary loved children - they didn't even need to be her own. She was very social and loved the simple things in life.Mary is survived by her husband, Mike; her children and their spouses, Paula (fiancé, Robert Hrabak) Vandermuss, Heidi (special friend, Kenny Jackson) Vandermuss; Shelley (Scott) Paulsen, Tony (Christy McKenzie) Vandermuss; grandchildren, Kendra, Kaylee, Kendall, Anara, Elliott, Ceci, Stuart, and Simon (Kitty); six siblings, Barbara (Norman), Floyd Jr. (Jean), Jean (John), Margie (Lloyd), Carol, John (Patty); father-in-law, Donald Vandermuss; many nieces, nephews, and extended family.She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law, Audrey Vandermuss; as well as aunts and uncles.Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 6. The Parish Wake Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friends may also call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.
