RACINE - Mary Lester Johnson 71, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Mary was born on July 8, 1941 in Marks, MS. to Willie Lester, Sr. and Laura (Miller) Lester. Mary was one of eight children. mary was united in marriage to Larry Johnson. She was the loving mother of three children. Mary worked as a certified Cosmetologist and she also was one of the first black secretaries at Case Corporation. Mary accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at avery early age. She was truly a Christian and loved the Lord. Mary was a long standing Missionary at Second M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Mack C. Davis. Mary's second Journey took her to Christ Chapel M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor William A. Lofton where she was the church Historian and during her last journey she proudly joined Searching Together M.B. Church under the leadership of pastor Willis Riley as one of the Mothers of the Church. Mary leaves to cherish one son Jeffery Johnson and one daughter Zeatha (Jimmie) Fondon of Racine, WI. One grandson, Wardell Satterwhite of Kansas City, MO. Three grandaughters, Keisha Satterwhite of Little Rock, AR, Marcia Lester and Ashley Lester of Racine. One great grandson, Trayveion of Racine, WI. Three Brothers, Eddie (Frances) Lester, James (Nellie) Lester, John (Effie) Miller. Two sister, Betty (Johnnie) Vaughn, Diane Miller and sister-in-law Ieyvine Lester all of Racine, WI. One Aunt of Memphis, TN, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many many special friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Lillie Lester, brother Willie lester, Jr. and son Tony Lester. Homegoing celebration will be held at 10a.m., instate from 9 a.m. till time of service on Saturday, September 15th at Searching Together M.B. Church, 825 21st St., Pastor Willie Riley officiating. Visitation from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., family hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2012 in the chapel of: Reid's New Golden Gate Funeral Home 1910 Taylor Ave. 262-632-7300
