Mary Louise FisherVero Beach, FLMary Louise Fisher passed away on June 5th, 2017 in Vero Beach, Florida. She was 88 years old.Mary Louise, known to her many lifelong friends as Pinky, was born on December 11, 1928 in Chicago, IL to Mary Thomas and Robert Dier. She was raised in Washington, DC and grew up in the famous Kennedy-Warren building where she could listen to the sound of the animals at the nearby Washington DC zoo. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1947. She married Emerson Hal Whitney at the age of 18 and moved to Miami where she was a homemaker and raised her 4 children in Miami Shores. Hal passed away in 1967 after 20 years of marriage.Mary Louise married George Kern Fisher in 1975 and they were together for 33 years until his death in 2009. She and George moved permanently to Vero Beach in 1981 where she lived until her death.She is survived by her four children; Scott Emerson Whitney of Sarasota, Florida, Anne Whitney Angelopoulos and her husband George of Longmont, Colorado, Brian Thomas Whitney and his wife Susie Gallaudet of Nederland, Colorado and Jennifer Whitney Spell of Virginia Beach, VA and 5 grandchildren Ali, Nick, Tate, Graham and Grace.A memorial service was held on Thursday, June 8th at Cox-Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
