Mary Louise Lashley 74, passed on December 28, 2022. She was bornto the late Luther Lashley and Callie Lashley on October 7, 1948 in Westpoint, Mississippi. She was united in holy matrimony/partner of love and best friend to the late Lee Smith and they lived together in Riverdale, Illinois. Together they raised 3 children Angela, Linette, Yolanda (Courtland). She is survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was proceeded n death by both parents Luther and Callie Lashley; four brothers Ollie, James, Luther and Freddie; One sister Amanda. Mary as many knowed touched many lives, with her powerful words, beautiful smile and generous heart. She will always be loved and remembered for her wittiest advice, humored jokes, overall wonderful personality and attitude.

Mary was always a mother to many, giving advice and support when needed. Mary was an amazing loving mother, grandmother and devoted wife. Mary "Ma" enjoyed most of all spending time with family, doing crossword puzzles, watching Tyler Perry movies and plays also working around the house. With cherished being a wife and a mother of three. She leaves: three children, Angela, Lynette and Yolanda (Courtland); five grandchildren, Ashley, Ariana, Twyla, Alaina and Angel; two great grandchildren, Ariah and Josiah; one God son Steve Elliott (Paulette); one God daughter Natalie Haley (Gerald); one sister Rosie;two sons Tony and John; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
