Mary Louise MooreMary Louise Moore, 86, of Stockwell passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Mulberry Health & Retirement. She was born on August 15, 1929 to the late William and Lida Wright McMillen in Vincennes, Indiana. Mary graduated from Lincoln High School in Vincennes in 1948 and went on to graduate from Vincennes University with an associate degree in Science. Right out of college, Mary began working as a Telephone Operator for Camp Atterbury. She was married to Charles James "Charlie" Moore on June 27, 1953 in Vincennes. She then worked at AT&T for 38 years, retiring in 1989. Charlie preceded her in death in 1996. Mary was a member of Church Alive and a past member of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis. She was also a member of Home Place Lion's Club in Indianapolis. Mary enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, and spending time with her family and children. She was even known to sew a few wedding dresses over the years.Surviving are her daughter, Melissa Brennan of Stockwell; brothers, Pat (wife Alice) McMillen of Vincennes and George McMillen of Peru, Indiana; grandsons, Ian (wife Mirtha) Brennan of Miami, Florida, Dane (wife Mindy) Brennan of South Carolina, Dylan Brennan of Kansas City, Kansas, and Shawn, Gabriel, and Samuel Brennan all of Stockwell; and great-grandchildren, Devyn, Sadie, Rory, Mia, and Luna. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by 11 siblings.A Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Fisher Funeral Chapel, Lafayette, with Pastor Bob Long officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis).
