Mary Louise Greene Wooten, 99, of Raleigh and Beaufort, formerly of Kinston, died Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Carteret Health Care, Morehead City. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Beaufort, with the Rev. John Carlisto officiating. The committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Westview Cemetery, Kinston.She was born on April 30, 1917 in Kinston, NC to Oscar and Clara Hines Greene.  She attended Converse College in Spartanburg, SC and Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA.  Her hobbies include cooking, reading, crafts, and playing bridge with friends.  Spending time with family always came first and she made sure each family member  knew just how much she loved them. She is survived by her son, George Robert Wooten, Jr. and wife Dale of Beaufort; daughter, Jane Wooten Hastings and husband Hank of Raleigh; brother, Oscar Greene, Jr. of Kinston; grandchildren, Beth Hastings Holland and husband Mark of Raleigh, Bob Wooten and wife Donna of Chesapeake, VA, Lynn Sledge and husband Mitch of Raleigh, Wendy Buchanan and husband Wesley of Raleigh, Bryan Wooten and wife LuAnn of Wake Forest; and 9 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to her caregivers - Joy Reid, Doris Noble, Janice Daye, Jasmine Jarrett and Shronda Johnson. In addition to her parents, her husband, George Robert Wooten, preceded her in death.
