DELAWARE — Mary Margaret Roberts, 53, of Delaware, passed away at home Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, following an extended illness with juvenile diabetes.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1963 in Delaware to the late James W. Roberts and Margaret (Saylor) Roberts of Delaware. A graduate of Buckeye Valley High School in 1981, she resided in Columbus until 1997 when she returned to Delaware County.
Before her complications from her illness, Mary worked as a secretary with Entertainment Publications. A devoted Christian, she was a member of Delaware Church of God and considered it her mission to bring people to God. When able, Mary assisted with the care of extended family. She possessed an open heart and in spite of her years of illness, she held on to every moment in the midst of her struggles in life. Always loving and compassionate Mary helped in any way she could. She loved music and will be remembered for the song in her heart and her love of family.
In addition to her mother she is also survived by brothers, James and Brian Roberts of Delaware; niece, Courtney; nephew, Austin; aunt, Leonia Roberts; and uncle, Chalmer Saylor.
She was also preceded in death by her beloved cat Heidi.
Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive, (formerly 1510 W. William St.), Delaware, where services will follow at 6 p.m. with Rev. Donnie Akers officiating.
