Mary Maxine Quintana, 79, formerly of Maxwell, passed away peacefully at her home in Albuquerque on Sept. 22, 2016.She was born on March 5, 1937, in Las Vegas to Onesimo and Margarita (Lopez) Vigil.Maxine is survived by Leroy Abel Quintana, her husband of 56 years; her daughter, Cathy Chavez and husband, Leroy, of Cimarron; daughter, Loretta Giglia and husband, Joe, of Cimarron; and son, Lee Quintana and wife, Cruzita, of Albuquerque. She also is survived by five grandchildren, Lynnae Chavez of Albuquerque, Brittany Loar and husband, Quintan, of Boston, Ashlee Garcia and husband, Dominic, of Albuquerque, and Isaiah and Caleb Quintana of Albuquerque. She is also survived by her siblings, brother, Ben Vigil of Erie, Colo., sister, Dorothy Alexander of Fairview, and brother, Antonio Vigil of Las Vegas.Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Onesimo and Margarita Vigil; sister, Nora Sanders; brother, Joe David Vigil; and foster son, Nerio Chavez.Church services will take place at 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 3 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas with Father George Salazar officiating. The burial will immediately follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
