Mary P. Justice, 100Muncie - Mary P. Justice, 100, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.She was born on October 3, 1917 in Delaware County, the daughter of Carl and Sarah (Hitchens) Gibson.Mary graduated from DeSoto High School in 1936.  She married Chester Justice on August 29, 1936, and became a homemaker, raising a family and caring for and helping raise her grandchildren.Mrs. Justice loved to play bingo and cornhole and was the Walk Leader at Summer's Pointe Assisted Living Facility in Winchester, where she also attended the bible study. Mary was a member of Philadelphia Congregational Christian Church, Ladies Aide of the Church, and DeSoto United Methodist Church.She is survived by her daughter, Julayne Thomas (husband, Rev. Larry); seven grandchildren, Scott Thomas (wife, Diana), Kent Thomas (wife, Christine), Cheryl Thomas, Robert Thomas (wife, Lynn), Jan Hinty (husband, Jack), Todd Haney (wife, Lisa), and Dale Haney (wife, Sheri); twenty-nine great-grandchildren; thirteen great, great grandchildren, with four on the way; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester Justice; a daughter, Jane Haney; sister, Oneida Thornburg; brother, Roscoe Gibson; and two great, great grandchildren, Brogan Bosworth and Briggham Smith.Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
