Longtime Juneau resident Mary P. Libby passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday morning February 13, 2013 surrounded by family after a short battle with lung cancer. Mary was born on December 18, 1934 in Richlands, VA. She worked at the University of Virginia as a CNA. Mary and Malcolm Libby were married on September 14, 1974. Mary and her family moved to AK in 1980. Mary enjoyed gardening, painting, and spending time with her family. Mary is survived by her son Kim Libby, granddaughters Heather Engen and Shawna Libby and great granddaughter Aubrie Engen, all of Juneau; and her sister Billie Brooks and brother Raymond Butcher of VA.
