Mary Isabelle Steponitis1935 - 2014Mary Isabelle Steponitis, 78, of Kenosha passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at her home with her loving family by her side. Mary Isabelle Shipley was born on July 29, 1935, in Kenosha, the oldest daughter of Albert and Meredith (Morritt) Shipley.She attended local schools including Mary D. Bradford High School (class of 1953). She graduated from Gateway Technical Institute with an associates degree in accounting. She worked at National Foods and A&P grocery stores and later was a legal secretary for the law office of Shearer & Shearer.She was a very active member of St. Marys Lutheran Church, the Friendly Center and Urban Outreach.She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved having picnics and get-togethers at her house. She also loved to travel and work in her yard.On March 1, 1952, she married Oakley B. MacPherson, Jr. in Kenosha. They later divorced. She married Paul B. Rovik on Aug. 3, 1963 at First Congregational Chapel in Kenosha. They later divorced. She married Harold F. Heinisch on Oct. 30, 1982, at St. George Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2000. She married Stanley C. Steponitis July 17, 2004, in the Guadalupe Chapel at St. Marks Catholic Church.She is survived by her husband, Stanley; her children, Linda (Jim) Gifford, Brighton; Scott (Beate Gersch) MacPherson, Kent, Ohio and Judy MacPherson, Beaver Dam; her step children, Tom (Sue) Heinisch, Richard (Sherri) Heinisch, David Steponitis, Larry Steponitis and Barbara Schmitz; her grandchildren, Daniel Gifford, Peter (Christine Holtz) Gifford, Claudia (Casey McDonald) MacPherson, Emily Walton, Owen Walton, Diana MacPherson, Hannah Walton, Clara MacPherson, Marlena MacPherson, Michael Heinisch, Steven Heinisch, Jonathan LaMothe, Todd LaMothe, Christian Steponitis, JadeSchmitz and Vaughn Schmitz; her great grandchildren, Kayli Smith, Ruth Gifford and Nova Newberry. She is also survived by her sisters, Nellie Frazee, Sara (Gary) Reiter and Libby Shipley-Bridgehouse.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; former husbands, Oakley B. MacPherson, Jr. and Paul B. Rovik; two sisters, Virginia Rose Shipley and Meredith Alberta Shipley and her brothers-in-law, Gary Frazee and Bill Bridgehouse.Funeral services for Mary will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at St. Marys Lutheran Church (2001 80th Street) with interment to follow at St. George Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home and at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
