Mary Virginia Hobbs was born on December 29th 1939 in Fasion North Carolina to the late Willie Mae Hobbs and Percy Hobbs

She was the youngest of 5 Children three boys Rudolph , Rafael, Percy and two girls Catherine and Mary .

Mary moved to brooklyn New York in May of 1957 . On april 6,1975 she married the late Clarence Stevens. she had two kids Theresa miller (bunny ) and Clarence stevens jr (rooster)

Mary worked modeling hats for sometime then at Babyfair Corp for 20 + years until she retired and returned back to Fasion N.C.

Mary believed in serving god and often spoke about being raised up in the church and her grandfather who was a preacher. she went to Vision Church Of God In Christ , Revelation Church Of God In Christ and Washington Temple Church all located in Brooklyn NY . Psalm chapter 23 was her favorite bible verse.

Mary fought a long fight but was called home to be with the lord and see her husband again on September 27th 2021 at Wayne memorial hospital in Goldsboro N.C

Mary leaves 2 children daughter Theresa Miller, son Clarence Stevens, 3 grandchildren Trevor miller (Tee jay), Christina young, & Ashley Stevens . She have 8 great grandkids Tremika Miller, Trevina Miller , Jazlene Vinsonbrown, Mayah Stevens, Euston Youngbrown , Ni’zar Youngbrown , Keisha and Kahrique. A very special daughter in law Marva Stevens, granddaughter in laws Vena Herring-Miller and a host of nieces (Chrissy Hobbs ),nephews, great nieces & nephews and cousins. shes truly loved and will be missed dearly .
