Masamichi Charles Watanabe Was born on June 15, 1929, in Cortez, California to Rev. Renpei and Yuki Hiratake Watanabe. He passed away in his home on December 14, 2014, in Tacoma, Washington, at 85 years of age. Masamichi's career as a structural engineer spanned 40 years with the Boeing Company. He graduated at the top of the class with a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He is survived by his wife Mitsuko, sister Emiko Grace Watanabe, and brother Tatsundo Albert Watanabe; daughters Sachiko Margaret Olson, Michiko Grace Jarchow, and Keiko Maria Doyle; and eleven grandchildren. Visitation and Christian service were held at Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills in Lynnwood on Friday, December 19, 2014.
