Mathew Jones, beloved son of Reginald Pettis and Marquita Griffin, passed away on September 28, 2024 in a tragic car crash. He was born on May 27, 1989 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mathew attended Bedford High School where he excelled in his studies and later went on to continue his education at Akron University. He also proudly served in the Air Force, showing his dedication to his country.

Despite his love for football and his competitive spirit on the field, Mathew will always be remembered for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor. He had a way of making everyone around him laugh, even in the toughest of times.

Although Mathew did not have any children of his own, he had a special place in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Air Force Aid Society in Mathew's honor.

Rest in peace, Mathew. You may have left us too soon, but your memory will live on forever in our hearts.
