We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Matilda Deary, a beloved member of the Worley, Idaho community. Matilda was born on June 4, 1930, and peacefully passed away on October 24, 2023, at the age of 93.

Matilda was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many throughout her lifetime. She was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering strength. Matilda was born and raised in Worley, Idaho, and she cherished her hometown throughout her entire life.

Matilda was an active member of the community, taking part in various organizations and volunteering her time to help those in need. She had a true passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others and did so with genuine love and compassion.

One of Matilda's greatest joys in life was her family. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, William Deary, who she lovingly shared over 60 years of marriage with. Matilda was an incredible mother to her three children, Michael, Sarah, and Emily and six grandchildren. She was their rock, their guiding light, and a constant source of love and support.

Matilda had a remarkable career as an elementary school teacher, dedicating her life to shaping young minds and nurturing the next generation. She had an innate ability to connect with her students and inspire them to reach their full potential. Matilda's impact as an educator will continue to be felt for years to come.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Matilda had a wide range of hobbies and interests. She had a green thumb and spent countless hours tending to her beautiful garden, creating a serene haven for herself and others to enjoy. Matilda was also an avid reader, with a love for classic literature that she eagerly shared with her friends and family.

A celebration of life will be held at the Worley Community Church on October 28, 2023, at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Matilda's honor to the Worley Community Foundation, a cause that she held near and dear to her heart.
