Matsuko Inaba, petite farmer and lover of all creatures great and small, passed away Saturday, September 03, 2016 at her home in Nampa, Idaho.Matsuko was born on May 10, 1918 in Roche Harbor, Washington to Heisaku and Ichi Yasuda. She was the third of twelve children.Matsuko graduated from Wapato High School in 1936. Matsuko married Joe Inaba December 14, 1942 in Wapato, Washington. Shortly thereafter, they relocated to Vale, Oregon where Joe worked on a farm.For over forty years, she sold Electrolux vacuum cleaners. When not selling vacuums, she and Joe had a truck farm providing fresh produce to local stores and her many friends she made through her vacuum sales and vegetable stand. She could be found working in her garden in the early mornings and late into dusk.Matsuko is survived by son, Brian, Nampa, Idaho; daughter and son-in-law, Janine and Phil Bernard, Parker, Colorado; three granddaughters: Tiana Matsuko Bernard, Denver, Colorado, Kylie Jo Bernard, Boulder, Colorado and Sadiee Shaver, Nampa, Idaho; sisters, Shiz Hironaka and Maye Umemoto; and brothers, Junior Yasuda and George Yasuda. Special thank you to Desiree Dillon for her love and care.She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Kendo, Kay, Heizi, Paul and Nobi Yasuda; and sisters, Haru Matsumura and Sue Mar. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 a 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Ontario Community Church, 240 SE 3rd Street, Ontario, Oregon.
