It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Matthew Harp, who left this world on September 18, 2024, at the age of 84. He was born on August 4, 1940, in Dallas, Texas, to proud parents Matter and Gladyis.

Matthew is survived by his loving partner, Amy, and their six children: Matter, Dan (spouse Sheryl), Jim (spouse Luann), Darla (spouse Mike), Debbie (spouse Wayne), and Jason (spouse Alexis). He was also blessed with ten grandchildren.

Matthew attended Wayne High School and graduated in 1958. He went on to work as a pastor, dedicating his life to serving others, until his well-deserved retirement in 2018.

Aside from his professional commitments, Matthew had a passion for model trains. He spent countless hours perfecting his collection and sharing his love for them with anyone who would listen.

Matthew Harp was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His kindness, wisdom, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
