Mattie Lee Kesee life journey begun on January 21, 1961 in Houston, Harris County, Texas.
She was born in Jefferson Davis Hospital, Houston, Texas to Waymen Kesee and the late Joesphine Louise Davis Kesee.
She grew up in Kenney Texas. Later her family moved to Houston, Texas where she attended Carverdale High School and Cy-Fair High School Houston, Texas.
Mattie was a faithful and active member of St John Baptist Church, Sauney Stand Communi-ty, Chappell Hill, Texas, where she served under the leadership of Reverend Jessie Turner after returning to her home town, Chappell Hill, Texas.
On June 11, 2009 Mattie was wed to Robert Haynes. To this union no children, but they both shared the love for their fur baby, "Rocky".
Mattie had many talents, but was well known for her life-long love for healthcare as a care-giver. She possessed the compassion of love and patients which made this the perfect career choice. Along with her love for taking care of the elderly, she enjoyed gardening especially with her grandchildren; cooking and serving and providing meals to anyone that was in need of a meal as well as spiritual food for their soul.
Mattie loved to entertained family and friends, cooking, playing cards, "spades, and pitty patty for quarters. She was also known as a "fashionista", always shopping
Mattie took pride in everything she did, but the most importantly role in her life was being a mother to her four sons, John, LaMonta, Todd, and Leonard. The high light of Mattie's life were being the beacon light in her sons life and anyone that knows them knows she was the
"queen" and star in their eyes and that's all that mattered to her.
Mattie is preceded in death by her mother; Joesphine Davis Kesee and two sisters, Tasha and Squeeky Kesee. leaves to cherish her precious memories, husband; Robert Haynes, father, Waymen Kesee, four sons; John Kesee, Lamont Kesee, Todd Dickson and Leonard Charles, brother;
Wayne Kesee, sisters; Courtney Umana and Motussie Kesee, grandchildren; Ji Kesee, Malachi Kesee, Eryton Watts, Cayden Dickson, Zhmiya Meeks, Jordyn Dickson, Karnryn Powell and Denim Dickson, Audrey Dickson, London Dickson, Faith Charles and Xamari Charles. She will be greatly missed.
