Maude E. Hiller, 95, of Spring Hill, FL died on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Atria Evergreen Woods in Spring Hill, FL. Maude was born on October 27, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of Harriet and William Isaac. She graduated from Browns Business College and was employed as a bookkeeper and statistical typist by a paperboard company on Madison Avenue in New York City. Maude married Howard Hiller, the love of her life, on July 2, 1944, ten days before he deployed to Italy in WWII. The couple moved to Baldwin, Long Island and she became a homemaker for her husband and three children. Maude was very active in her church, teaching Sunday school and playing piano for the children for 25 years. She and her husband were chairmen of their church's Country Fair and Maude held workshops to make the holiday items that were sold at the fair. Maude also sang with a women's chorus for 15 years, entertaining at various community functions and nursing homes, as well as having their voices broadcast over Hofstra University Radio Station. Maude enjoyed doing craft work and also playing her electric organ.Mrs. Hiller was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Howard Hiller in 2009. Survivors include her three children, Bruce Hiller and wife Charlene of Chestertown, NY, Roy Hiller of Baldwin, NY, Lois Napolitano and husband Carl of Spring Hill, FL; four grandchildren, Jason Hiller of Chestertown, NY, Amy Rene Turcotte and husband Joe of Brant Lake, NY, Karen H. Quinn and husband Dylan of Del Rio, TX, and Ryan Roy Hiller and wife Jessica of Baldwin, NY; and sister-in-law Jean Sweeney. Funeral services for Mrs. Hiller will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Hernando, FL. Her family will receive friends from 10 AM until the hour of service.Interment will follow at Fero Memorial Garden in Beverly Hills, FL. Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.
