Maudine Sims, was born on November 16, 1939, in Randolph County, Alabama. She was the beloved daughter of the late Theodus Dorch Zachary and Myrtis Lindsey Zachary. Maudine passed away on December 22, 2025 at RMC in Anniston AL.
She attended Clay County Training School in Lineville Al . She worked at Spring Valley in Ashland Al.
Maudine had a passion for fishing, spending time with Family and Gambling until her health failed. Maudine will be deeply missed by all those who knew and Loved her.
Maudine is survived by her two loving children, Nellie Bell Buchanan and Rita Cunningham Cowen both of Huntsville Al.a host of grandchildren great grandchildren. Sister Helen Jane Zachary and Brother Grady Zachary both of Ashland Al. and a host of nieces nephews and cousins and other relatives.
Maudine is preceded in death by her parents Theodus Dorch Zachary and Myrtis Lindsey Zachary, 2 sons Jerome Cunningham and Michael Cunningham, 2 daughters Sue Cunningham Gary and Sandra Jean Cunningham Dargin, 2 sisters Willie Ruth Zachary Williamson ( Milky) and Rebecca Zachary Watts ( Becca ) and a brother Sambo Zachary.
Repass will be at The Wynn Building in Ashland, Alabama following the Memorial.
