Paris, Maureen Anne 64, of Scottsdale Arizona, entered peacefully into eternal life on November 23, 2016, at her home in Scottsdale Arizona in the presence of her loving family and under the compassionate care of Hospice of the Valley. Maureen was diagnosed with Cancer in 2010. She was a strong woman. She was determined that cancer would not control her life. It didn't! She had quality of life for the majority of her illness, thanks to the excellent care she received from Mayo Hospital/Clinic, doctors and staff. Everyone who knew her was amazed at her determination. Maureen was born on April 9, 1952 in Marquette MI. She was the daughter of Albert and Gertrude (Cherrette) Paris. Surviving are her sister, Marie (James) Paris Burke of Marquette; two nephews, Steven Somers of Saline MI and Christopher Somers of Barranquilla, Colombia, South America; one niece, Michelle Somers (Nicole Ross) of Folsom, CA; her best friend and caregiver, Dave Smith and numerous cherished friends from both Marquette and Scottsdale AZ. Maureen moved to Scottsdale in the early eighties. She worked for Motorola, then General Dynamics. She received a Bachelor's degree while working for General Dynamics. Maureen's remains will return to Marquette for burial. A celebration of Maureen's life in Scottsdale will be held on Saturday December 3rd 2016 From 1PM to 4PM at 8227 E. Orange Blossom Ln.
