KINSTON - Mavis Ann Jones Williams, 68, of Kinston, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. Mavis was born on January 3, 1946, to Clifton and Bessie Jones. Mavis was employed at Electrolux for over 17 years. Survivors include her daughter, Misty Smith of Kinston; son Chad Williams of Kinston; five sisters, Myrtle Langston of Kinston, Margaret Santarpio of Kinston, Mary Cirbus and husband Bob, of Kinston, Marie Ball and husband Dennis, of Kinston and Martha Jarman and husband Paul, of Kinston; brother Jessie Nelms and wife Dawn, of Kinston and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Dixon officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Fellowship Church, 469 Joe Nunn Rd, Kinston, NC 28504.
