Galecki, Maxine A.Maxine A. Galecki, age 78 of Stevens Point, died unexpectedly on Monday July 3, 2017. Maxine was born on July 26, 1938, in Stevens Point. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Johanna (Baker) Nitka. She attended St. Peters Catholic grade school and graduated from Maria High School. Her marriage to Gregory Galecki took place on October 26, 1963 at St. Peters Catholic Church Stevens Point. Her husband Gregory survives. Maxine worked for the Stevens Point school district in the food service department retiring in 1997.She was a member of the St. Peters Rosary Society.She enjoyed dancing to polka music, camping, fishing, spending time outdoors and traveling south for the winter. Survivors include her husband, Gregory of Stevens Point. Sons, Michael (Stacy Welch) of Reston Virginia and Patrick (Paula Ostrowski) of Evansville Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kim Marie.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday July 7, 2017, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Rev. Arul Joseph V. will officiate. Burial will follow in the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the St. Faustina room at the church.
