HUDSON — Maxine Hart, age 72, of Hudson, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016, at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa, Florida. Mrs. Hart was born on June 1, 1943, in Garrett, Indiana, to Max Bruce and Wilma (Brown) Perry. She graduated from Avilla High School and continued her education at Ravenscroft Beauty College, where she graduated in 1961. Maxine worked as a cosmetologist for Betty's Beauty Shop for 30 years. She also worked for Dolly Inc. in Tipp City, Ohio, in assembly and was a housekeeper for Dr. Borenstein in Fort Wayne. Maxine loved to crochet, read, and relax in the sun. She loved to spend quality time with her kids and grandkids, as well as gardening and tending to her flowers. Enjoying life and cheering all the Indiana sport's team along was a good day for Maxine. Survivors include her husband, Ronald Hart of Hudson; her mother, Wilma Perry of Sebring, Florida; two sons, Craig Hart and Chris and Lori Hart of LaOtto; a daughter, Rhonda Longardner of Auburn; a granddaughter, Lauren Hart of Kendallville; a grandson, Evan Hart of Garrett; two brothers; two sisters-in-law, Susan and David McNutt of Lake Placid, Florida, and Jenny and Robert Wolford of Fort Wayne; a brother-in-law, Jeff Hart of Kendallville; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved canine companion, Brewster. Maxine was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents; and many aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016, from 4-7 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home, 403 S. Main St., Kendallville. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Hite Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Eel River Cemetery near Fort Wayne. Officiating the funeral services is Pastor David Stephey.
