Maxine IversonDes MoinesMaxine Elaine (Steinberg) Iverson, 90, was surrounded by love when God called her home on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017. A Memorial Service will be held at Dunn's Chapel, 2121 Grand Avenue, Des Moines, IA, at 2 pm on Sunday, June 25th, with a visitation from 1 pm to 2 pm.Maxine was born on July 2nd, 1926, in Buffalo Center, Iowa, to Arthur and Lottie (Thorsheim) Steinberg. She married her one true love, Jim Iverson, on November 1st, 1945. To this marriage were born two children, Pamela Sue and Gregory James. Maxine is survived by her son, Gregory (Alice) Iverson of Clear Lake, Iowa; grandchildren Christopher Spatgen of Des Moines, IA, Amy (Tim) Jaynes of Hudson, WI, Jennifer Iverson of Des Moines, IA, Jacob Iverson of New York, NY, and Nicholas (Hitomi) Iverson of Hudson, WI; great-grandchildren Christopher, Kylee, Joshua, Anna, and Luka; brothers Larry Steinberg of Wickenberg, AZ, and Gary Steinberg of Thompson, IA; sister Janice (Gene) Nelson of Manson, IA; sister-in-law Joed Steinberg of Twin Falls, ID; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Pamela Finney, infant sister, Marilyn Dee Steinberg, brother, Roger Steinberg, and sisters-in-law, Carolyn Nelson and Gracia Jean (Stanley) Haugland.Maxine was the definition of selflessness and unconditional love.
