Maxine Laverne Enniss, daughter of Edith Mazo Jones and Lewis Leroy Jones, passed away on July 20, 2018. She was 94.
Maxine was born in Wood River, Illinois, the third of four children. At age 18 she married Leon Price, an Air Force noncommissioned officer. Over the next 24 years, they were posted at multiple Air Force bases. While overseas they raised seven daughters and then retired to Mesa, Arizona. Leon died in 1965. Fifteen years after his untimely death, Maxine married James Enniss.
Maxine was predeceased by her daughter, Melanie and is survived by six daughters: Carolyn, Judee, Pamela, Adonna, Robin and Leonette; nineteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Maxine earned a business degree and worked for many years as a cost accountant in several enterprises. Among her many and varied interests were traveling, visiting friends and family, reading, doing puzzles and cultivating roses. She considered herself a very lucky woman. She will be missed and lovingly remembered.
