Maxine Uilani Navor (n?e Young) Age 69, of Honokaa, Hawai'i, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, in Olympia, Washington. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., with Brother Doug Taylor officiating in the chapel of The , LDS Stake Center, 1602 Ruddell Road Southeast in Lacey, Washington. Raised in Kukuihaele, on the Big Island of Hawai'i, Maxine was the youngest of 15 children and born on Wednesday, April 28, 1948, to Henry Wah Lok and Bertha Heleloa Young (n?e Hauanio). She graduated in 1966 from Honokaa High & Intermediate School. In March of 1966 she met and fell in love with Martin Navor, Jr., and the two were married on December 2, 1967. Maxine traveled all over the U.S. and world as a proud military wife with their three children. She loved to crochet, was a powerhouse bowler for almost three decades, and was a devoted mother and wife. She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Bertha; brothers Edmond (Moke), Charles (Elia), Robert Akai, Reuben Kealoha, Ernest, and Bringham, and sisters Jerrieline and Naomi (Puanani). Maxine is survived by her husband of 49 years, Martin; sons Mahlon of Olympia, Washington, and Marvin (Mark) of Los Angeles, California; daughter Marlene of Charleston, South Carolina; brothers Henry (Hanalei), Clarence Makaio (Sonny), Tyrone, and Raymond, and sisters Bertha Heleloa (Deah) and Elizabeth Kuulei (Sweetie). The family wishes to extend their aloha and gratitude to all of the physicians, nurses, and staff of Seattle Swedish Medical Center (Cherry Hill campus), Madigan Army Medical Center (6 North), Providence RadiantCare (Lacey), and Providence SoundHome Care and Hospice (Lacey) for their care and support in her final days.
