Suffridge, Maxwell Harrison, 32, of Louisville, died October 9, 2017 in an accident while hiking at Red River Gorge. He was born on July 1, 1985 in Louisville, son of Quentin and Georgene Suffridge. He attended Seneca High School and was working as a server and bartender at Sake Blue in Fern Creek. Max had an infectious personality and was loved by all. Most who knew him considered him like a brother. He was generous, kind and loyal. He cared deeply for his friends and family. Max loved hiking and camping and spent a wonderful last day out at the Gorge. He always loved the water. He relished strategy games of all kinds. He represented the US in Japan at the Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship in 2005 and he was a competitive poker player, chess player and video gamer. Max had a true appreciation for fast cars, good food, a well-mixed drink, the Cardinals, and especially great company. Max lived life to the fullest and made lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Quentin Suffridge, and his grandfathers, Paul Suffridge and George Collins. He leaves behind his mother, Georgene Suffridge and his two sisters, Calla Suffridge and Katy Durbin and her husband Jay. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Ella Suffridge and Audra Collins. Max had a large loving family with aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins as well as many friends that he considered family. Visitation and a celebration of Max's life will be held October 14, 2017 from noon until 4pm with a short remembrance being held at 4pm at Ratterman's Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY.
