Megan was born on April 15, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio. She moved with her family to Thousand Oaks in 1973. She was a graduate of Westlake High School, attended California Lutheran University, transferring to Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash., where she graduated. Megan was an energetic, fun-loving daughter, sister, friend, wife and mother. She had an unbridled passion for her kids, her friends' kids and children of all ages. She started her career as a teacher in Washington. Megan moved back to California to work as a youth director.
When she and her husband Mark were expecting their second child, she took on the role as a full-time mom. She was a loving mother to her three children, Logan, Lacey and Landen, and would stop at nothing to assist them with any need. Megan was an avid runner. She had a great eye for design and decorating. Megan loved gardening and had an emerald thumb for it. She loved spending time with her Bible study group at church and walking her dogs, but most of all, she loved raising her kids and watching them grow.
A celebration of Megan's life will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 23, located at 1 West Avendia de los Arboles in Thousand Oaks, 805- 492-1234.
