Mehdi Shams, age 67, of Albany, New York died Saturday night, March 31, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. Born August 23, 1951, in La Jolla, California, he was the son of the late Ramesh Shams and Abigail Shams. Mehdi was the owner of a golf supply shop in Albany for more than 30 years. He enjoyed restoring cars in his spare time and mechanics was his passion. In his spare time, he also enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and hiking.
Mehdi took fashion cues from no one. His signature every day look was all his: a plain pocketed T-shirt designed by the fashion house Champion, his black-label elastic waist shorts worn above the navel and sold exclusively at the Houston Street Champion store, and a pair of old school Wallabees (who can even remember where he got those?) that were always paired with a grass-stained Albany baseball cap.”
You can to the family or in memory of Mehdi Shams.
